About DMK Tribe

DMK Tribe is a newsroom covering digital business across Europe, in English, for the people who build it: marketers, founders, investors and the teams around them.

Who we are

The newsroom comes out of the DMK Tribe community, an international collective of marketers, creatives and entrepreneurs founded by Jhamile Abuabara. It meets in person in Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, Lisbon and Valencia and counts 8,166 members on Meetup, 220 meetups held and 450+ in the members' area.

The people who run the community are listed on the DMK Tribe team page, and each city page names who leads its chapter. To take part, join the members' area.

What we cover

Every story belongs to one of the cities we cover today: Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, Lisbon and Valencia. Within them we report on funding, startups, AI, robotics, marketing, e-commerce, media, regulation and people.

We do not cover sport or party politics, even when a club or a campaign has a technology or marketing angle. We do cover regulation that shapes digital business: AI, data, platforms and e-commerce.

How we work

Every story names its sources, in the text or in a list at the end of the piece.

The byline tells you who wrote it. Stories signed DMK Tribe are drafted with AI from the sources listed on the page and say so next to the byline: “Written with AI, checked against the sources”. Stories signed by a person are published under that person’s name and responsibility.

Opinion is labelled as opinion. Columns carry an “Opinion” label and a note that they reflect the views of their author, not the position of DMK Tribe.

Images say what they are. Photographs are credited with their author and licence. Illustrations made for a story are labelled as illustrations, not photographs of the events described.

Sponsorship is kept apart from coverage. Sponsored placements are marked “Supported by” and their links are tagged as sponsored.

Corrections

If you spot an error in a story, write to hello@dmktribe.com with the link and what needs fixing. We review every report and correct errors in the story itself.
