Hoy Es Marketing (HEM), the event organised by ESIC Business & Marketing School, returns to Valencia on 30 September at La Rambleta. Doors open at 17:30 and the programme starts at 18:00, according to Hello Valencia.

This edition runs under the motto "Marketing will be judged" (El marketing será juzgado) and focuses on a profession in deep transformation: changing consumer habits, the advance of artificial intelligence, new ways of building brands and fragmenting audiences are all reshaping how companies reach the people they sell to.

Who is on stage

The day opens with a welcome from Agustín Carrilero, director general of ESIC Business & Marketing School in the Valencian Community. Patrick Sievers, Global Head of CUPRA Marketing, then opens the talks.

Clara Vila, Head of Marketing at Froneri Iberia, brings the view of a company specialised in ice cream, followed by Marta Domínguez, Head of Marketing at MediaMarkt Spain, on the transformation of retail and new consumer habits. Olympic champion Paula Leitón adds a perspective from outside the business world.

The second half features Iñigo Vallejo, Brand Manager at Octopus Energy, and Ester Marinas, Google's Country Marketing Manager for Spain and Portugal. Two of the speakers, Sievers and Vallejo, are ESIC alumni returning to the school from senior roles at international companies.

The questions on the table

With speakers from automotive, food, retail, energy and technology, the programme is built to compare how very different businesses handle the same problems: keeping a brand relevant, reaching new consumers, making use of data and technology, and carrying the brand's identity into every touchpoint.

Eduardo Gómez, president of ESIC University, closes the event before drinks and networking between professionals, companies and the ESIC community.
